As a Hostess at Jansz., you are the first and lasting impression of our restaurant. With a welcoming smile, calm presence, and organized approach, you manage reservations, seating, and guest flow — setting the tone for a refined yet relaxed dining experience. You naturally balance hospitality and efficiency, ensuring every guest feels seen, valued, and excited to dine with us.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service
Welcome guests warmly and professionally, creating an immediate sense of comfort and belonging
Actively tune into the needs, wishes, emotions, and expectations of guests and colleagues
Adapt communication and behavior to different guest profiles, cultures, and backgrounds
Go the extra mile to create heartfelt moments that exceed expectations and build guest loyalty
Maintain correct language and behavior in line with Jansz. and Lore Group brand standards
Reservations & Flow Management
Manage reservations and walk-ins efficiently to ensure optimal seating and guest flow
Communicate clearly with guests regarding wait times and seating availability
Coordinate closely with the service and kitchen teams to ensure a smooth operation
Handle overbookings, special requests, and unexpected situations with professionalism and calm problem-solving
Communication & Teamwork
Be a clear and confident communicator with guests and colleagues
Recognize, acknowledge, and show genuine interest in both guests and team members
Remain professional and courteous when dealing with emotional or unexpected reactions
Contribute positively to a collaborative and respectful team environment
Job Requirements
Skills & Experience
A welcoming, guest-focused personality with a natural sense of hospitality
Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain an overview during busy service periods
Familiarity with reservation systems and guest management tools
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in high-pressure or unexpected situations
Flexibility & Attitude
Flexible availability for different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and special events
Proactive, attentive, and service-driven mindset
Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
